Job Description
Job Overview:
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electro Technical Officer (ETO) based in Port Harcourt. The ETO will oversee the maintenance, operation, and repair of all electrical and electronic equipment on board.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include monitoring electrical systems, troubleshooting technical issues, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The role also involves maintaining detailed records of repairs, ensuring uninterrupted functionality of machinery, and providing technical support to the team.
Required Qualifications:
Strong Technical Support and Laboratory Skills to effectively diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment. Excellent Analytical Skills to identify and solve complex technical problems efficiently. Outstanding Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with team members and address technical concerns professionally. Valid Electro Technical Officer (ETO) License (mandatory). Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and monitoring systems for electrical equipment. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Prior experience in the marine or energy sector is an advantage.
