Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Land Surveyor to conduct land measurements, prepare survey reports, and provide accurate data for construction, engineering, and property development projects.
Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct land and property surveys to determine boundaries, elevations, and site features. Use surveying equipment and technology such as GPS, total stations, and GIS software to collect accurate data. Prepare survey plans, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of land properties. Analyze survey data and calculate measurements for construction and development projects. Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and government agencies on project requirements. Ensure all survey activities comply with legal regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Verify the accuracy of survey data, calculations, and documentation. Supervise field survey activities and guide survey assistants or technicians. Conduct site inspections and resolve boundary or land-related issues when necessary. Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment. Prepare and submit reports on survey findings and project progress. Assist in planning and development projects by providing technical survey support.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, HND, OND, or equivalent qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree, HND, OND, or equivalent qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Proven experience in land surveying or a related field is an added advantage.
Languages: English
Additional Notes: Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, mapping, and construction measurements. Proficiency in surveying equipment, GPS systems, AutoCAD, GIS, and related software. Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work outdoors and travel to project sites when required. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of land laws, regulations, and safety standards. Professional attitude and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
