Job Overview: We are looking to hire a proactive and detail-oriented Network Admin Assistant to support the management, maintenance, and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security of our technology infrastructure and daily operations.
Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor network, server, and system performance to ensure optimal availability and efficiency. Support basic network administration tasks, including configuring network devices, monitoring connectivity, and troubleshooting network-related issues. Perform LAN/WAN maintenance, Wi-Fi connectivity support, and internet performance monitoring. Perform routine system, antivirus, and security updates across workstations and servers. Support server management tasks, including routine checks, patching, and maintenance activities. Manage user account setup, password resets, access management, and system permissions administration. Help maintain IT security standards by supporting firewall, endpoint protection, and access control measures. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues for end users. Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, printers, and peripheral devices. Monitor backup processes and assist in disaster recovery and data restoration activities when required. Maintain accurate records of IT assets, network configurations, licenses, and access logs. Maintain documentation for IT processes, policies, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide first-level technical support. Assist in testing software applications before deployment to ensure functionality, usability, and performance. Document test results, report bugs, and follow up with relevant teams for resolution. Assist in conducting basic IT orientation and training sessions for staff on company systems, applications, and IT best practices. Conduct Training on assigned Tech courses during coding bootcamps.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical exposure). Completion of NYSC or up to 1 year of relevant experience (internship, IT support, network support, training support, or administrative role). Good understanding of computer systems, networking concepts, and IT support operations. Familiarity with TCP/IP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and basic network troubleshooting is an added advantage. Demonstrate considerable competence in network/server administration, cybersecurity practices, hardware support, software testing processes, and IT training delivery. Good organizational, analytical, and documentation skills. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical exposure).
Experience: Completion of NYSC or up to 1 year of relevant experience (internship, IT support, network support, training support, or administrative role).
