Job Overview: We are looking for energetic, detail oriented, and reliable Field Verification Specialists to serve as the face of Barqly on the ground. Your primary responsibility will be visiting restaurants, evaluating their operations against our quality checklists, verifying their physical locations, and collecting the essential data needed to launch them on the Barqly Partner app.
Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct thorough in-person inspections of prospective partner restaurants to evaluate hygiene standards, kitchen capacity, food handling practices, and order packaging readiness. Perform precise geographic tracking by geotagging restaurant entrances and verifying exact physical street addresses. Crosscheck and authenticate business legitimacy, standard operating hours, and fundamental regulatory compliance documentation. Systematically collect accurate menu details, up-to-date pricing, precise item descriptions, and important dietary or allergen information. Coordinate or personally capture high-quality, well-lit photos of top menu items, signature dishes, and storefronts. Enter all verified merchant data, operating schedules, and menu assets accurately and promptly into the internal Barqly onboarding database. Act as the professional and welcoming first point of contact representing Barqly to restaurant owners, managers, and kitchen staff. Deliver clear and compelling explanations of the Barqly value proposition. Manage the successful execution of onboarding documentation.
Required Qualifications: OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a closely related field. Proven experience in field sales, localized market research, hospitality auditing, brand activation, or ground operations, where experience working with logistics or food delivery platforms is considered a major asset. Deep, firsthand familiarity with the geography, major commercial hubs, layout of various neighborhoods, and the evolving food tech landscape across Ibadan. Highly comfortable and efficient using smartphones, digital mapping applications, mobile GPS tools, and data collection software on the move. Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
