Job Description
Job Overview:
We are looking for a high-performing Sales Executive to drive the expansion of PLEXOS in Nigeria and WAPP. This role involves engaging with regulatory bodies, utilities, independent power producers (IPPs), government agencies, and other key stakeholders in the Nigerian energy sector and all WAPP countries.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and engage potential customers within the Nigerian energy sector and WAPP, including regulatory bodies, utilities, and energy operators. Drive revenue by selling PLEXOS licenses and associated services, ensuring achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets. Work closely with the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team to generate and nurture leads, ensuring a steady flow of qualified opportunities. Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers, understand their challenges, and position PLEXOS as the best solution. Represent Energy Exemplar at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase brand awareness and generate leads. Work closely with the Sales Director – Sub-Saharan Africa to align sales strategies and execution. With the support of the EMEA team, conduct product demonstrations, create proposals, and effectively communicate the value proposition of PLEXOS. Lead contract negotiations, handle objections, and secure successful transactions. Provide feedback to internal teams on market trends, regulatory changes, and customer needs to refine our sales approach.

Required Qualifications:
Experience working with energy regulators, utilities, and government agencies. Background in energy consulting, power systems, or software sales. Familiarity with PLEXOS or other energy modeling software is a plus. Understanding of power systems, energy market operations, and regulatory frameworks in Nigeria and WAPP. Ability to manage complex sales cycles, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure. Strong networking skills to build long-term customer relationships with key stakeholders. Ability to understand and articulate the benefits of PLEXOS and energy market simulation tools. Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and verbal/written communication skills. Willingness to travel within Nigeria and the WAPP region for meetings and industry events.
