Job Description
Job Overview:
The Senior Cost Engineer (Well Engineering) will provide expert cost engineering support across Lekoil's onshore and offshore exploration, appraisal and production assets, focusing on Well Engineering projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain cost control frameworks, compile and report budget figures, monitor contractor progress, prepare cost estimates and forecasts, coordinate with finance and legal teams, manage contractor compliance, and engage stakeholders for cost performance reporting.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline; professional certification in cost engineering preferred (AACE International, RICS, APM); additional finance or project management qualifications are advantageous.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical or commercial discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 8 to 12 years of practical Well Engineering Experience; proven track record in cost control and reporting; experience with industry cost preparation software; familiarity with joint venture structures and Nigerian upstream regulatory frameworks is desirable.
Additional Notes:
Proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and willing to travel to onshore and offshore locations.
