Job Overview:
The Village Bakery Group is a family-owned and managed Craft Bakery producing an award-winning range of Bread, Morning Goods, Pies and gluten-free products. We are looking for a engineer" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Project Engineer to support the delivery of CAPEX projects across our site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of capital projects from concept through to commissioning and handover, coordinate installation activities for new equipment, work alongside contractors during installation phases, support commissioning and testing of new equipment, liaise with various teams to ensure alignment, monitor contractor performance, support project planning and budget tracking, ensure compliance with health & safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement through engineering solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in an engineering role within food manufacturing or FMCG, exposure to installation or CAPEX-related activities, good understanding of manufacturing processes, ability to work collaboratively, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, good awareness of health & safety requirements.
Educational Background:
Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or similar) is desirable.
Experience:
Experience in a Project Engineer or similar role, supporting equipment installation and commissioning, and working with contractors and suppliers is beneficial.
