Duties and Responsibilities: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee the firm’s day-to-day operations and provide strategic operational leadership across administration, finance, people management, client service delivery, and business support functions. Key responsibilities include overseeing firm operations and administration, financial management, people and performance management, client service and quality management, and strategic and business development support.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in law firm management, professional services operations, or senior operational leadership. Proven experience managing finance and operational functions independently. Experience managing teams of at least 15 staff. Strong understanding of legal practice management systems and compliance frameworks.
Educational Background: Degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in law firm management, professional services operations, or senior operational leadership. Experience within a top-tier Nigerian or international law firm is preferred.
