Job Overview:
The Coalition for Dialogue on Africa (CoDA) is a unique initiative established by the African Union Commission (AUC), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), African Development Bank (AfDB), and African Export-Import Bank (AFRIEXIMBANK). CoDA seeks to foster dialogue and action on Africa’s political, social, and economic priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The COO will oversee the organization’s daily operations, ensuring seamless implementation of business strategies and operational systems. Key responsibilities include developing and executing business plans, managing organizational resources, supervising departments, and ensuring alignment with CoDA's mission. The COO will also lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance evaluation to drive organizational success. Collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders is a key component of this role.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Business Planning and Operations Management, Strong Analytical Skills for strategic decision-making, Experience in Finance and Budgeting processes, Leadership abilities with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, Experience in managing remote teams and working in multicultural environments.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Experience:
Experience in managing remote teams and working in multicultural environments
Languages:
Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities within the African socio-economic context
