Technical Assistance to ECOWAS in Transport Governance

Job Overview:
GIZ International Services is shortlisted for the EU-funded tender: 'Technical Assistance to ECOWAS in Transport Governance in West Africa', based in Abuja, Nigeria. The overall objective is to promote sustainable, smart, resilient and safe mobility to strengthen land, air and water transport regulatory frameworks in the ECOWAS region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The position involves managing multi-donor, multi-components and multi-country technical assistance projects, focusing on transport governance, corridor management, and trade and transport facilitation programmes in Africa.

Required Qualifications:
A university degree in transport planning, civil engineering, economics, or public policy, or related relevant field. A post-graduate degree (Master’s level or equivalent) in the same fields is required. Fluency in English and good working knowledge of French is necessary.

Educational Background:
University degree in transport planning, civil engineering, economics, or public policy, or related relevant field; post-graduate degree preferred.

Experience:
At least 15 years of relevant professional experience in the transport sector, including 5 years in managing multi-donor technical assistance projects, preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Languages:
Fluency in English, with at least good working knowledge of French (spoken and written).
