Job Description
Job Overview:
The Production Manager will oversee daily shop floor operations, ensuring optimal productivity, operational efficiency, quality compliance, and safety standards across our aluminium extrusion facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Enforce safety, quality, and maintenance standards across all production activities. Lead and supervise daily shop floor operations to ensure smooth production flow. Implement TPM and lean manufacturing practices to minimise downtime and waste. Improve production output, efficiency, and cost per unit. Coordinate manpower, shift schedules, and team productivity. Collaborate closely with planning, maintenance, logistics, and quality assurance teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data driven decision making. Train, mentor, and develop production staff for improved performance and accountability. Maintain accurate production reports, operational records, and performance metrics.
Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of TPM, lean manufacturing, and process optimisation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Results driven mindset with strong attention to productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Educational Background:
B.Sc or HND in Engineering or a related technical field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a production leadership role, preferably within manufacturing
