Job Overview:
We are looking for a Site Storekeeper who will maintain accurate records of physical inventory of materials on a building construction site, ensuring proper receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of goods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all materials, updating inventory databases, and performing regular stock counts to identify discrepancies. Receiving and Issuing Materials: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, ensuring they are of the correct type, quantity, and quality. Issue materials to authorized personnel based on requisitions and document all transactions. Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, initiate reordering to prevent shortages, and ensure materials are stored properly to prevent damage or loss. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records, reconcile physical stock with system records, and generate reports on inventory status and material flow for management. Store Maintenance: Ensure the store area is kept clean, organized, and secure at all times, maintaining safety and order. Collaboration: Work closely with site managers, engineers, and other departments to understand material requirements and ensure timely availability.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of an OND in Business Management, Banking & Finance, or Accounting. 1-2 years' experience in a similar role. Must be willing and capable of working on a building construction site. Must reside in Enugu. Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail are crucial for accurate record-keeping. Ability to resolve issues within the area of specialization with minimal supervision. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and systems will be an added advantage.
Educational Background:
OND in Business Management, Banking & Finance, or Accounting
Experience:
1-2 years' experience in a similar role
