Job Overview:
E-Chow is a fast-growing food technology startup transforming how busy professionals, students, corps members, and kitchen-averse individuals access meals across Africa. Our platform enables users to schedule meals in advance through automated ordering, restaurant integration, intelligent delivery coordination, and personalized customer experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and maintain high-quality mobile applications using Flutter or React Native. Develop scalable cross-platform experiences for Android and iOS users. Optimize applications for Android and iOS performance, responsiveness, and reliability. Implement real-time notifications for order updates, reminders, promotions, and delivery events. Build and integrate geolocation services for address mapping, location selection, and route coordination. Develop delivery tracking systems with live order and rider visibility. Optimize mobile app speed, responsiveness, memory efficiency, and battery performance. Implement offline-first architecture for users with unstable internet connectivity. Integrate APIs, payment systems, authentication systems, and backend services. Collaborate with UI/UX teams to translate designs into pixel-perfect interfaces. Conduct debugging, troubleshooting, and performance issue resolution. Ensure mobile applications meet security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, usability, and accessibility standards. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and feature releases.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mobile Development, or related field. 2+ years of experience building mobile applications. Strong proficiency in Flutter or React Native. Experience deploying and maintaining applications on Android and iOS platforms. Experience with REST APIs, mobile architecture patterns, and state management. Strong understanding of mobile performance optimization techniques. Experience integrating push notifications and location-based services. Experience with Git version control. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mobile Development, or related field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience building mobile applications.
Languages:
Strong proficiency in English.
