Job Overview: To manage, co-ordinate and oversee the activities of the business and budget planning for Network Group and to coordinate the development of NWG strategy in line with MTN Nigeria strategic objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provide input into the development of MTNN business plan and manage the budget and business planning team in the preparation, production and implementation of the budget. Carry out business plan forecast in line with organizational requirements and based on the set NWG rollout/build objectives. Review monthly actual expenditure in line with budget assumption to facilitate quarterly Opex and Capex forecast. Analyse the assumptions in the business plan to guarantee an appreciable level of predictability and to reduce unexpected results. Prepare and circulate monthly report of NWG KPIs. Understand the telecom industry as well as future developments and their impact on MTNN business plan. Seek input from marketing to develop Network Group budget and business plan and strategy. Embark on extensive research in mining data from current operational realities and impact analysis on business plan forecast.
Required Qualifications: First degree in Accounting or Economics or related area of study. Fluent in English. A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). MBA is desirable.
Educational Background: First degree in Accounting or Economics or related area of study.
Experience: 6 - 13 years’ experience which includes: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others. Experience working in a medium to large organization. Hands on experience covering similar functions in multinational Manufacturing or Telecommunication companies. Experience in a large GSM Network roll out environment would be a distinct advantage. Experience in market/industry research data mining competence.
