Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Solar Installation Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar power systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install solar PV panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and mounting systems; Conduct site assessments and assist with system design and load calculations; Perform electrical wiring, cabling, and system connections according to standards; Test and commission installed solar systems to ensure optimal performance; Diagnose and repair faults in existing solar installations; Carry out routine maintenance and system upgrades; Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures; Prepare basic installation reports and job completion documentation; Work closely with engineers, sales teams, and site supervisors; Educate clients on system usage and basic maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of SSCE / OND / Technical certification (Electrical or related field preferred); Proven experience in solar installation or electrical works; Good understanding of solar PV systems and basic electrical principles; Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings; Physically fit and able to work at heights and outdoor environments; Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Good communication and teamwork skills; Valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
Educational Background:
SSCE / OND / Technical certification in Electrical or related field preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience in solar installation or electrical works.
