Job Description
Job Overview:
Koolboks is dedicated to making refrigeration accessible and affordable with eco-friendly solar-powered freezers. Our innovative Cooling-as-a-Service model, combined with Pay-As-You-Go technology, brings sustainable and reliable refrigeration solutions to underserved communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and IoT-based monitoring solutions. Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary technical team. Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle: design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance. Lead the development and integration of IoT solutions for remote monitoring and predictive maintenance. Design and optimize battery storage solutions for various applications. Work closely with business development, operations, and external partners.
Required Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in the solar energy sector. Proven experience working with battery storage systems and IoT technologies. Prior experience in a technical leadership or supervisory role is strongly preferred.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field (Master’s is a plus).
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in the solar energy sector.
Languages:
English
Additional Notes:
Certifications in solar energy or energy storage systems are a plus. Experience with SCADA systems or advanced monitoring platforms is desirable.
