Job Overview:
Kuda is a fintech movement aimed at making financial services accessible and rewarding for every African, backed by significant investment to build a smarter alternative to traditional banking.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and monitor the Bank's Portfolio, Asset Quality, Liquidity and Capital Wellness; Evaluate the impact of significant loans on Capital, Profitability and Portfolio Concentration; Monitor compliance with regulatory and internal limits; Risk reporting to MRC and BRMC; Provide metrics and reports for Rating Agencies and Investor Relations; Prepare portfolio plan based on budget proposal; Ensure timely Capital Adequacy Ratio reporting; Compute ECL in compliance with IFRS 9; Prepare ECL movement schedule; Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis; Manage the collateral register.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in risk management, portfolio analysis, and regulatory reporting within the financial services sector; Strong understanding of capital adequacy, liquidity, IFRS 9 standards, and regulatory compliance requirements; Proficiency in financial modeling, credit risk analysis, and stress testing methodologies; Excellent analytical and reporting skills; Advanced knowledge of financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
Educational Background:
First Degree in numerate disciplines preferably accounting, statistics, economics and mathematics.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years cognate experience preferably in audit or banking industry.
