Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced, and highly knowledgeable Data Protection Officer (DPO) to oversee the organization’s data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance programs.
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Data Protection & Privacy Compliance: Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on data protection, privacy, and information governance matters. Ensure compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws, including GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy Regulations, and more. Monitor organizational compliance and advise management on privacy obligations. 2. Governance, Frameworks & Policy Management: Develop and improve the organization’s Data Protection Framework and compliance controls. Create and maintain Data Protection Policies. 3. Regulatory Research & Legal Monitoring: Conduct research on evolving privacy laws and translate updates into actionable policies. 4. Risk Assessment & Data Protection Impact Assessments: Lead DPIAs and identify privacy risks. Recommend remediation strategies. 5. Documentation & Records Management: Maintain privacy compliance documentation and ensure readiness for audits. 6. Reporting, Audits & Monitoring: Develop privacy reports and monitor compliance KPIs. 7. Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Act as the primary contact for privacy matters and provide guidance to teams. 8. Training & Awareness: Design and deliver privacy awareness programs.
Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in data protection, privacy compliance, regulatory compliance, governance, or risk management roles. Demonstrated experience implementing and managing privacy compliance programs. Strong analytical, research, and legal interpretation skills. Excellent policy writing and documentation abilities. Strong stakeholder management and advisory capability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in data protection, privacy compliance, regulatory compliance, governance, or risk management roles. Experience with multinational organizations is desirable.
