Job Overview:
Our client is a rapidly scaling shared mobility platform operating across major urban centres in Africa, including cities such as Lagos, Abuja, and Abidjan. The business has already enabled millions of safe, affordable, and reliable commuter trips and has become a key player in urban transport solutions across the region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Head of Asset Finance will be responsible for building and leading the organisation’s end-to-end asset finance capability. This includes ownership of credit architecture, underwriting and risk governance, debt structuring, portfolio management, and lender relationships. The role is central to enabling scalable fleet growth through the design and execution of a robust, efficient, and well-governed financing engine.
Required Qualifications:
7–8+ years of experience in senior roles within structured finance, asset finance, credit, or lending environments. Strong expertise in credit underwriting, collections, and portfolio risk management in asset-heavy or lending businesses. Proven experience structuring asset-backed financing (including SPVs, collateral structures, and multi-lender facilities). Strong understanding of FX exposure and hedging strategies in cross-border financing. Advanced capability in financial modelling, treasury management, and cash flow forecasting. Track record of managing relationships with banks, DFIs, or institutional lenders. Experience implementing credit or loan management systems and associated data infrastructure. Ability to design and operationalise end-to-end financing workflows from approval to deployment. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
