Job Description
Job Overview:
The Team Lead, Information Technology will provide leadership, coordination and operational oversight for the IT Department across all business locations, experience centres and digital platforms. The role serves as the acting operational head of IT pending the appointment of a substantive Head of IT and is responsible for ensuring that technology supports business growth, regulatory compliance, service delivery excellence, infrastructure stability and digital transformation across the organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. IT Leadership and Department Oversight: Provide operational leadership and supervision for the entire IT function, coordinate daily IT operations, establish performance standards, oversee vendor relationships, ensure business continuity, and provide regular management reports. 2. Enterprise IT Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain technology infrastructure, oversee network infrastructure, manage data centre environments, ensure availability of end user computing devices, and manage cloud infrastructure. 3. IT Governance and Policy Development: Develop and implement IT policies, support IT governance frameworks, maintain IT documentation, coordinate audits, and enforce data governance standards. 4. IT as a Business Service Enabler: Partner with business units to identify technology solutions, drive automation initiatives, and provide advisory support for product development. 5. Application Management and Core Systems Oversight: Oversee administration of core enterprise applications, ensure system availability, coordinate system upgrades, and support data analytics. 6. Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Implement cybersecurity controls, oversee vulnerability management, monitor access controls, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity guidelines. 7. Digital Transformation and Fintech Integration: Lead digitisation initiatives, support fintech partnerships, evaluate emerging technologies, and coordinate integration of technology into operations. 8. IT Strategy Support: Provide input into IT strategy development, assist in technology road mapping, support budgeting, and provide research on technology trends.
Required Qualifications:
Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related field, with a proven track record of leading IT teams and managing complex IT projects.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
