Job Description
Job Overview:
Our client is a Nigerian investment and real estate development firm, primarily recognized for joint-venture projects in the Lekki area of Lagos. The firm notably partnered with a private investment company to develop the Admiralty Mall in Lekki Phase I, serving as a strategic hub for commercial real estate and retail in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records. Monitor income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities. Prepare management reports and analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis for decision-making. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted performance. Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments. Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances. Reconcile supplier and customer accounts. Manage cash flow tracking and payment schedules. Record daily financial transactions accurately. Maintain accounting documentation and audit trails. Perform bank, cash, and balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records. Ensure compliance with local tax laws and statutory regulations. Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, Company Income Tax, etc.). Support external and internal audits. Implement and maintain internal financial controls. Prepare and process payroll accurately and timely. Ensure statutory deductions and remittances are compliant. Maintain employee compensation records. Monitor financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures. Detect and prevent financial irregularities or fraud.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline. Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred. Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience (depending on seniority level). Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline.

Experience:
Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience (depending on seniority level).

Additional Notes:
Salary: 400,000 - 500,000 net. Pension, End Of Year Incentives.
