Job Overview: As a Field Service Engineer, you will act as the on-site technical leader, responsible for the maintenance, commissioning, and servicing of aero-derivative gas turbine control systems. You will work across onshore and offshore environments, ensuring high-quality service delivery and reliable equipment performance.
Duties and Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, commissioning, and servicing of gas turbine control systems and associated equipment. Lead on-site technical activities, ensuring compliance with OEM standards and company procedures. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with minimal supervision, using sound judgment and technical expertise. Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and system documentation to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities. Monitor project execution, identify potential risks (e.g. abnormal vibrations, safety hazards), and take proactive corrective actions. Ensure availability of required materials and coordinate resources for efficient project execution. Maintain accurate reporting, including service reports, equipment history, and operational feedback. Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer representatives to ensure transparency and alignment. Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules, personnel, and materials to support ongoing operations. Support operational teams during high workload periods to ensure continuity of service. Ensure strict adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and promote a strong safety culture.
Required Qualifications: Engineering degree, preferably in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience working with gas turbine control systems. Strong technical expertise in gas turbine controls (primary skill), mechanical systems (supporting skill), and rotating equipment packages. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Experience in onshore and offshore environments (mandatory). Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and technical software tools. Knowledge of aero-derivative gas turbine systems and operations is a strong advantage.
Educational Background: Engineering degree, preferably in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience working with gas turbine control systems
