Job Overview:
Wellington College International Lagos is seeking a Head of Senior School to lead the learning and teaching of pupils aged 11 to 18, ensuring outstanding academic and pastoral outcomes while contributing to the strategic development of the College.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Head of Senior School will coordinate teaching and pastoral care, lead the Senior School SMT, ensure child protection practices, manage parental communications, oversee disciplinary matters, and set an example of professional standards. Responsibilities also include designing the academic calendar, developing policies, and ensuring effective transitions between schools.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree with relevant teaching qualifications, business level English, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Senior School with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Education or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Senior School with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, successful teaching experience, and proven leadership experience.
Languages:
Business level spoken and written English.
Additional Notes:
Candidates should possess strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
