Job Description
Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Nutrition Manager, the Stabilization Center Doctor will be responsible for all clinical aspects of the nutrition project at Nana Asma’u Stabilization Center in Yola, while also supporting other technical and administrative nutrition functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Doctor will lead and oversee all stabilization center interventions, working closely with IRC nutrition staff, Ministry of Health incentive workers, Nutrition Officers, and Nutrition Nurses. Responsibilities include clinical management of children with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), program development, staff performance management, and coordination with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution, with strong public health background; additional training in pediatrics, nutrition, or public health is an added advantage.

Educational Background:
Degree in Medicine and Surgery; Master's in Public Health is an added advantage.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years post NYSC experience in clinical medicine and public health; experience in supervising nutrition staff at stabilization center health facility; previous experience in Nutrition programs and NGO experience preferred.

Languages:
Fluent in written/spoken English; ability to speak local languages (Hausa) is an added advantage.

Additional Notes:
Full professional competency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to travel 5% of the time if applicable.
