Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Head of Procurement to lead our onsite purchasing, supplier management, and contracting functions. This role is critical to driving cost savings, mitigating risk, and ensuring material/service availability for our core operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain category strategies for key spend areas (raw materials, MRO, logistics, IT, facilities, professional services). Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) models to evaluate supplier proposals beyond unit price. Lead supplier risk assessments (financial health, geopolitical, single-source vulnerabilities) and create mitigation plans. Manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with legal to ensure contracts comply with local/international laws, trade regulations, and company policies. Drive cost savings through volume discounts, rebate agreements, and long-term frame contracts. Coordinate with the receiving warehouse and quality teams on inbound logistics, inspection, and non-conforming material handling. Lead cost reduction projects using should-cost models, benchmarking, and make-vs- buy analyses. Conduct internal audits of procurement files, bid documentation, and approval trails. Lead rapid response procurement during supply disruptions (price spikes, natural disasters, logistics strikes).

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of delivering year-over-year cost savings (e.g., 5-15% annually). Strong knowledge of Procurement systems (SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement, Coupa, or Similar). Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with both direct and indirect procurement categories. A master’s degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain) is an added advantage. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or supply chain risk management framework.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
