Job Overview:
GIMLAS Integrated Services Limited is a leading indigenous environmental consultancy and energy services company specializing in environmental and geotechnical consulting, analytical laboratories, and waste management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee laboratory operations, handle advanced analytical testing, conduct equipment calibration, maintain quality control standards in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 protocols, supervise junior staff, analyze lab results to ensure accuracy, prepare reports for clients across various industries, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused services.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Analytical Skills, experience working with and maintaining Laboratory Equipment, demonstrated competency in Laboratory Skills, strong understanding of Quality Control processes and regulatory compliance, expertise in Calibration of laboratory instruments, proven ability to lead and mentor junior staff, attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong organizational skills.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Environmental Science, or related field.
Experience:
Previous experience in an ISO-accredited laboratory is an advantage.
