Job Description
Job Overview:
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigeria nationals for the position of Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Management Reporting & Business Intelligence: Lead the preparation of timely, accurate, and insightful monthly management and financial reports, design and improve automated financial dashboards, develop financial models, establish KPIs, conduct variance analysis, enhance reporting processes, and support senior management with analytical reporting. 2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, develop financial forecasts, coordinate budget preparation, provide analytical reviews, enhance budgeting templates, and support budget holders. 3. Full Cost Recovery (FCR) & Costing: Implement FCR framework, develop costing methodologies, ensure cost allocation, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and maintain costing tools. 4. Systems, Process Improvement & Capacity Building: Drive process improvement, strengthen data governance, develop institutional capacity, build relationships with stakeholders, and undertake special projects.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is an added advantage. A professional accounting qualification such as CPA (K), ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is required.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA will be an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of six (6) years’ progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or business finance.
Languages:
English
Additional Notes:
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in financial modelling, management reporting, and advanced analytical tools, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in business intelligence and reporting automation. Experience with ERP systems and strong project management skills are desirable.
