Job Overview: The Production Geologist will be crucial in optimizing the development and production of geological expertise to support production activities and enhance recovery.
Duties and Responsibilities: Contribute to the design and implementation of field development plans, perform reservoir characterization studies, utilize advanced geological software, provide geological support during drilling operations, prepare geological reports, stay updated with industry technologies, identify geological issues impacting production, foster collaboration between teams, provide mentorship, lead production geology initiatives, oversee vendor relationships, recommend cost-saving areas, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field; postgraduate degree preferred; evidence of training history and certification of related courses.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field; postgraduate degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 8 - 15 years of experience in production geology, with at least 6 years in a production geology role in a major producing indigenous or international oil and gas company.
