Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating financial data, preparing insightful reports, and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret financial statements (Income Statement, Statement of Financial Position, and Cash Flow Statement); Identify trends in income, expenses, and overall profitability; Develop financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and investment analysis; Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual performance; Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights; Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide business strategies; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial impact of projects; Evaluate financial risks and support risk management initiatives; Analyze investment opportunities and provide recommendations; Forecast returns, risks, and market trends; Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and banking regulations; Track economic trends, industry developments, and competitor performance; Support the Head of Treasury in managing and optimizing the investment portfolio; Provide data-driven insights to support management decisions; Conduct financial analysis across various business units; Perform any other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage); Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent; Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within a large organization; Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools; Sound knowledge of financial modeling and data analysis tools; Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)
Experience:
Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within a large organization
Languages:
