Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and technically strong Financial Controller with experience in the asset management space. The ideal candidate will oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, tax administration, and internal controls.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial reporting activities in line with regulatory and statutory requirements, prepare and submit SEC returns in compliance with SEC Nigeria guidelines, prepare and file accurate tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and deadlines, liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and tax consultants as required, manage general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes, develop and maintain strong internal control systems, monitor cash flow, investment reporting, and fund accounting activities, provide financial insights and reports to senior management for decision-making, ensure compliance with IFRS and other applicable financial reporting standards, supervise and support junior finance team members where applicable.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is desirable, minimum of 5 years’ experience in asset management or a regulated financial services environment, strong experience preparing SEC and tax returns, knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory reporting requirements, strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills, high level of integrity and attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in asset management or a regulated financial services environment
