Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Officer to oversee and implement all security protocols within the Hall of Residence. The role involves safeguarding residents, staff, assets, and property, while ensuring a safe and peaceful environment conducive for learning and living.
Duties and Responsibilities: Implement and enforce all security protocols to protect residents, staff, valuables, and assets of the Hall of Residence. Conduct daily and routine inspections within and around the residence to ensure safety and compliance with security standards. Urgently investigate all security breaches or incidents and submit timely, detailed reports to Hall Management for prompt action. Carry out weekly, monthly, and annual security audits, providing management with findings and recommendations. Enforce Hall of Residence rules and regulations in relation to security and safety. Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access to the residence. Direct and coordinate the activities of the security department, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to security personnel within the hall. Liaise with external security agencies and law enforcement when necessary. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all incidents, patrol logs, and security operations. Respond swiftly to emergencies and maintain a calm, professional approach under pressure.
Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a security officer, guard, or security supervisor, preferably in residential or institutional facilities. Strong knowledge of security operations, protocols, and emergency response procedures. Ability to conduct investigations and prepare accurate, detailed reports. Leadership and supervisory skills to manage security staff and coordinate department activities. High level of integrity, vigilance, and attention to detail. Physical fitness and the ability to perform patrols and respond quickly to incidents. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, staff, and management. Basic knowledge of security systems, surveillance tools, and access control procedures. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
