Job Description
Job Overview:
To provide legal, regulatory, and transactional advice and support to the Investment Banking (IB), Client Coverage, Global Markets (GM) and Transaction Banking Business areas of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC and Stanbic IBTC Capital Limited, assisting business leaders in achieving their goals with sound risk management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Comprehensive drafting and reviewing of all legal documentation including Loan Agreements, Term Sheets, facility offer letters, NDAs, and respective security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security documents. Review and vet signed Legal Documentation and condition precedents to ensure compliance with Credit approval. Identify legal risks and develop processes to manage them. Resolve credit, legal, and business concerns in a balanced manner. Prepare and revise Bonds, Guarantees, SBLCs, and other contingent liability instruments. Advise on Investment Banking Transactions including ECM, DCM, and corporate finance deals. Work with other CIB Lawyers to identify and mitigate legal risks.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors-in-Law from a university (LLB) and the Nigerian Law School (B.L) required.
Educational Background:
Bachelors-in-Law (LLB) and completion of Nigerian Law School (B.L).
Experience:
8-10 years' experience in handling legal issues, relating with regulators and external solicitors. 8-10 years' experience in investment banking transactions and corporate finance deals is an added advantage.
