Job Overview: The Head, Life Insurance Marketing is responsible for driving business growth, revenue generation, and market penetration for the company’s life insurance portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to grow individual and group life insurance products. Drive premium income generation and ensure achievement of set revenue and profitability targets. Lead and manage the life insurance marketing team to deliver strong sales performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and individual clients, agents, partners and key stakeholders. Identify new market opportunities and innovative distribution channels. Collaborate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams to ensure competitive product offerings and efficient service delivery. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments. Oversee preparation of proposals, presentations, and negotiations for major accounts. Track performance metrics such as Gross Revenue, Clients Retention rate, and profitability ratios. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards. Represent the organization at industry events, client engagements, and strategic meetings.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification such as CIIN (Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria) is an advantage but not a necessity. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in insurance marketing or business development. At least 2 years in a senior level or leadership role within general insurance. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding premium and revenue targets. Proven track record of achieving premium growth and business expansion targets.
