Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records and accounting ledgers, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements and transactions, monitor cash flow and support budgeting/forecasting, ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.), assist with audits and regulatory reporting, provide financial insights to support management decisions.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance roles, proficiency in financial accounting, management accounting, and preparation of accurate financial statements, experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, etc.) and Microsoft Excel, strong skills in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost management, experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations, knowledge of tax laws, regulatory compliance, and audit processes, strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Educational Background: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN are an advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance roles.
