Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing asset accounting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting audits, and improving asset management systems and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, prepare asset-related disclosures in line with applicable accounting standards, maintain and reconcile General Ledger, support internal and external audits by providing asset schedules and documentation, understanding of Tax Management, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, prepare audit schedules and perform account reconciliations, respond promptly to audit queries and requests, update and maintain asset management policies and procedures, identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements, stay up to date with relevant accounting standards and industry regulations, utilize ERP/accounting systems for transaction processing and reporting.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, Professional certification (ICAN – fully or partly qualified) is required, Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in asset accounting or a similar role, Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software, Experience with ERP systems (e.g., InforWare or similar platforms), Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, High level of accuracy and attention to detail, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in asset accounting or a similar role

Additional Notes:
Preferred Skills: Experience within an asset management firm or financial services industry, Knowledge of financial reporting standards such as IFRS.
