Job Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent SCPHN School Nurse to work within our Wallasey 0-19 team. It would be great for a qualified school nurse wanting experience to work in Wirral along side staff who are passionate about reducing health inequalities and supporting our local community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have proven leadership, experience and knowledge of school nursing. You will work closely with education and social care to provide services in response to identified need, both public health and safeguarding whilst working in partnership with Wirral Local Authority. You will demonstrate leadership within the public health, health promotion and safeguarding domains.
Required Qualifications:
RN (Adult or Child/RSCN), Postgraduate in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing- School Nursing or equivalent, Leadership Level 6, Mentorship Level 6, Solihull Approach Trained.
Educational Background:
Postgraduate in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing- School Nursing or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience of managing a School Nurse Caseload, evidence of continuing professional development, experience of leading the assessment, planning and evaluation of care, experience of integrated working.
Languages:
N/A

Access to a car for work purposes is essential. Commitment and vision are required personal qualities.
