Job Overview:
MySchool Academy is building African Language Intelligence (ALI)—a platform designed to digitize, structure, and standardize over 2,000 African languages for use in AI, education, and communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and process applications from language contributors and fellows; Assign contributors to specific languages based on expertise; Track and manage progress across multiple languages; Review and organize language data (audio, text, translations); Identify inconsistencies and ensure linguistic accuracy; Support the development of writing systems and language rules; Maintain structured and standardized language datasets.
Required Qualifications:
Background or strong interest in languages, linguistics, or language research.
Educational Background:
Linguistics, Language Studies, African Languages, Translation Studies, or related fields.
Experience:
Hands-on experience in large-scale language infrastructure development.
