Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Information Security Officer to safeguard the organization’s information systems and data. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing security measures, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s information security policies, standards, and procedures. Monitor IT systems and networks for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). Manage and maintain security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Investigate security incidents and provide detailed reports with recommendations. Conduct security awareness training for staff to promote a strong security culture. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system architecture and implementation. Perform regular audits of systems, applications, and access controls. Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Proven experience as an Information Security Officer or similar role. Strong knowledge of network security, system security, and risk management. Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or NIST. Experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection). Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and reporting skills. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience as an Information Security Officer or similar role with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
