Job Overview:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior VoIP / Class 5 Softswitch Engineer based in Abuja. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining VoIP solutions and Class 5 softswitch systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting networks, configuring and optimizing VoIP devices, ensuring system security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and scalability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality telecommunication solutions. The candidate will also stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of VoIP technologies, including SIP-based protocols and Class 5 Softswitch systems. Experience with network management, troubleshooting, and optimization for telecommunication systems. Proficiency in configuring and maintaining server hardware, VoIP gateways, and IP phones. Understanding of system security practices and scalability strategies in the VoIP domain. Previous experience working with telecom infrastructure and VoIP providers is highly beneficial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills for collaboration with multi-departmental teams.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Experience:
Experience in an on-site technical support role in telecommunications is preferred.

Certifications in VoIP technologies or networking, such as CCNP Collaboration or equivalent, are advantageous.
