Job Overview: The Sales & MarketingDirector is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth, increase brand awareness, and strengthen market positioning.
Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with business goals; Provide leadership and direction to the sales, marketing, and reservations teams; Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify opportunities; Prepare annual sales and marketing plans, budgets, and forecasts; Drive room, F&B, events, and ancillary revenue growth; Identify and secure corporate, leisure, MICE, and group business opportunities; Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, tour operators, and partners; Lead negotiations, contracts, and pricing strategies; Monitor sales performance and ensure targets are consistently achieved; Oversee brand positioning, advertising, promotions, and PR activities; Manage digital marketing efforts including website, SEO, social media, email campaigns, and online travel platforms; Develop and execute seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotional offers; Ensure brand standards and messaging are consistent across all channels; Track and analyze KPIs such as ADR, occupancy, conversion rates, and ROI; Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize pricing and distribution strategies; Prepare regular performance reports and presentations for senior management; Work closely with operations, finance, HR, and revenue teams; Represent the property/company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums; Strengthen partnerships with tourism boards, media, and corporate organizations.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (MBA preferred); Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry; Proven track record of achieving revenue and market growth targets; Strong leadership and people management skills; Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; Strategic thinking and commercial acumen; Strong understanding of hospitality sales channels and digital marketing; Data-driven decision-making and analytical skills; Customer-focused mindset; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Proficiency in CRM systems, PMS, and Microsoft Office.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
