Job Description
Job Overview:
The post of Project Officer – International Aid/Cooperation Officer (Local Agent Group 1) in the Delegation’s Democracy, Governance and Migration Section (OPS2) under a fixed-term employment contract of 2 years, with a possibility of renewal under reserve of budgetary availability and operational considerations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyse developments in civil society sector, support policy dialogue, manage EU projects, contribute to reporting requirements, and ensure proper project appraisal and monitoring of project implementation.

Required Qualifications:
Medically fit, enjoys civil rights and permits for employment under Nigerian law, excellent knowledge of English (C2 Level), and full computer literacy.

Educational Background:
A University degree in relevant fields such as Political Science, International Law, Human Rights, Development Studies, Law or other relevant social sciences qualification.

Experience:
Professional experience of at least 5 years in grants management and/or civil society support programmes management.

Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English; knowledge of French and other Nigerian languages is an asset.
