Job Overview: Our client is a renewable energy infrastructure developer backed by institutional capital. The company develops, finances, and owns solar energy projects for commercial & industrial (C&I) clients, government ministries, and distribution companies across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities: Lead DFI negotiations independently, present to credit committees as the financial lead, drive Series A fundraising and project financing, build and own financial models and capital strategy, ensure strong financial operations, reporting, and compliance.
Required Qualifications: Minimum 10 years’ experience in infrastructure, project, or development finance, proven track record in capital raising on the borrower/developer side, prior CFO or Finance Director experience (preferred), experience closing DFI-funded energy/infrastructure projects in Africa, strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations (FIRS, CBN, PENCOM, CAC), expertise in project finance, SPV structures, and financial modelling.
Educational Background: Professional certification: CFA, ACCA, ACA, ICAN, or equivalent.
Experience: Led at least one DFI debt raise end-to-end (with verifiable references), built and defended lender-grade financial models, proven success in grant funding applications, experience presenting to credit committees or investors independently.
