Mass Communication Intern

Job Overview:
MySchool Academy is building a new media platform focused on education, ideas, and storytelling across Africa through initiatives like Open Mic Africa. We are looking for a creative and driven Mass Communication Intern to join our team and help produce engaging content, manage communications, and support media production.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in content creation (video, social media, storytelling), Support production for interviews, talk shows, and live recordings, Help manage social media pages and audience engagement, Write captions, scripts, and basic communication materials, Assist in coordinating speakers, guests, and participants, Cover behind-the-scenes content and event highlights, Contribute ideas for viral and engaging media content.

Required Qualifications:
Strong interest in media, storytelling, and digital content, Comfortable using smartphones for content creation, Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), Good communication and writing skills, Creative, proactive, and willing to learn, Passion for education, youth development, or African innovation.

Educational Background:
Student or recent graduate in Mass Communication or related field

Experience:
Basic video editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, etc.) is a bonus, Experience with content creation or running a page is a bonus, Interest in public speaking, debates, or media production is a bonus.

Additional Notes:
Onsite role in Ikeja, Lagos.
