Food Security and Livelihood Support Officer
Job Description
Job Overview:
Support the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Food Security and Livelihood team in the development, implementation, and monitoring of food security projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure Food Security and Livelihood activities are implemented as directed by supervisor. Provide key linkage between beneficiaries and the head office. Liaise with community project management committees on project implementation. Train, organize distributions, and collect field data. Conduct beneficiary sensitization for voucher-based food assistance programs. Participate in distribution process including beneficiary verification and redemption of commodity vouchers. Prepare weekly reports on implementation progress.
Required Qualifications:
Good organizational capacity, report writing and oral communication skills, excellent relational/interpersonal skills, basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
Educational Background:
Typically, a University Degree in either agriculture or Social Sciences.
Experience:
At least 1 year experience implementing food security and livelihood strengthening programs with an International Organization.
Languages:
Ability to speak and write in English will be an added advantage.
Additional Notes:
Perform other duties as assigned.
