Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on, highly organised, and accountable Furniture & logistics-manager" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Manager to take full ownership of the company's physical assets — with a particular emphasis on furniture and event equipment, while simultaneously leading logistics operations for our rentals subsidiary.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Physically inspect all furniture and event equipment before and after every event to ensure items are in excellent condition. Identify, document, and immediately escalate any damage, wear, or deterioration of furniture, décor items, and equipment. Coordinate prompt repairs, cleaning, reupholstering, or replacement of damaged or worn items. Establish and enforce standards for how furniture is handled, stored, stacked, wrapped, and transported to minimise damage. Ensure all items are properly cleaned, sanitised, and presented before deployment to any event. Develop and maintain a preventive care schedule for high-use furniture and equipment. Train and hold warehouse and logistics staff accountable for proper handling and care of all assets. Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date inventory of all company assets including furniture, event equipment, tools, and vehicles. Track asset movement across events and locations with accurate records at all times. Ensure proper documentation, tagging, and accountability of every item. Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to identify losses, discrepancies, or unaccounted items. Develop and enforce systems to prevent asset loss, misuse, or unauthorised removal. Plan and coordinate the transportation, delivery, setup support, and return of rental items for all bookings. Oversee loading and offloading processes, ensuring furniture and equipment is handled carefully at every touchpoint. Ensure timely dispatch and retrieval of all items, with zero tolerance for delays that affect event execution. Manage logistics schedules and route planning for operational efficiency. Supervise drivers, loaders, and handlers, setting clear expectations for handling standards. Ensure compliance with safety and asset-handling protocols at all times. Oversee company vehicles, including routine maintenance, documentation, and usage tracking. Coordinate with external transporters, repair vendors, upholstery specialists, and suppliers as needed. Negotiate logistics and maintenance costs while maintaining quality standards. Lead and manage the warehouse, logistics, and asset handling teams day-to-day. Provide regular reports on asset condition, utilisation, losses, damages, and logistics performance. Implement process improvements to reduce asset damage rates, increase turnaround efficiency, and lower operational costs. Foster a culture of care, accountability, and ownership across the team.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in logistics, operations, or asset/inventory management, preferably within events, rentals, furniture, or hospitality. Demonstrated hands-on experience caring for, maintaining, and managing physical furniture or event equipment. Strong eye for condition, quality, and presentation of physical assets. Experience managing vehicles, warehouse operations, and logistics teams. Proven ability to lead, supervise, and hold teams accountable for handling standards. Strong organisational skills with proficiency in record-keeping, Excel, or inventory management systems. High level of personal accountability, integrity, and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
