Job Overview: Our Client, a top-rated, highly liquid and well-established Microfinance Bank, currently in the process of securing a National License, invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and interested professionals to fill the key management position of INFORMATION & TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (IT).
Duties and Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and functional oversight in the respective areas. Strengthen governance, controls, systems, and operational efficiency. Ensure full regulatory compliance and alignment with best industry practices. Drive innovation and efficiency in the application of IT for service delivery. Drive digital transformation to achieve digital scale up of service delivery, cost reduction and efficiency. Ensure a safe and secure cyber space. Ensure an efficient link between business and technology.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field with a bias in software engineering. Relevant professional certification such as CISA, CISSP, ITIL, or equivalent is required. A Master’s degree will be an advantage. Must be versed in banking application software.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field with a bias in software engineering.
Experience: Minimum of Eight years’ experience in the IT department of a Microfinance banking institution.
