Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Officer (MEP) for our client in the engineering and construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures for MEP projects. Conduct inspections and tests on MEP systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and material submittals for accuracy and compliance. Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to approved quality standards and safety regulations. Identify defects or non-conformities and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, checklists, and audit records. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues. Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. Ensure proper documentation and handover of completed projects.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or related field (or equivalent QA/QC experience in MEP projects). 3–6 years of experience in QA/QC within MEP engineering or construction projects. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, standards, and codes. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or related field.
Experience:
3–6 years of experience in QA/QC within MEP engineering or construction projects.
