Job Overview: We’re looking for a Head Pastry Chef to lead the pastry and bakery experience at Salt & Sugar Café. This is a leadership position for someone who understands precision, consistency, creativity, and systems.
Duties and Responsibilities: Leading and supervising pastry kitchen operations, maintaining consistency across all baked goods and desserts, developing and refining recipes where necessary, ensuring strict food safety, hygiene, and storage standards, managing prep schedules and production flow, training and mentoring pastry staff, controlling waste and managing ingredient usage efficiently.
Required Qualifications: Strong experience in pastry, baking, or dessert production, solid knowledge of laminated doughs (croissants, etc.), attention to detail and high quality standards, leadership ability, ability to work efficiently under pressure, a mindset of excellence, discipline, and ownership.
