Job Overview: We are seeking a hands-on and reliable Facility Officer to support the day-to-day maintenance and operations across multiple sites within the real estate and construction sector.
Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out regular inspections of assigned properties and identify maintenance needs. Coordinate and supervise repair works — electrical, plumbing, generator, and general building maintenance. Ensure all equipment is serviced and operational; manage diesel supply and generator operations. Respond promptly to facility faults, breakdowns, and emergencies. Source vendors and artisans, obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and supervise work quality. Evaluate vendor performance and maintain a reliable list of service providers. Track facility expenses and ensure spending stays within approved budgets. Prepare and submit weekly maintenance updates and expense summaries to management. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, vendor jobs, and site incidents. Ensure basic fire safety standards are maintained across all sites. Report safety hazards, incidents, or breaches promptly to the line manager.
Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in facility or property management. HND / B.Sc. in Engineering, Estate Management, or a related field. Practical knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and general building repairs. Experience supervising artisans and contractors on-site. Basic budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be willing to move between multiple sites across Lagos. Ability to respond to facility emergencies outside regular working hours when required.
Educational Background: HND / B.Sc. in Engineering, Estate Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in facility or property management.
