Job Overview:
We are seeking an entry-level Travel Agent to join our team at AFARI Travels & Tours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing comprehensive travel arrangements, providing information to travelers, and promoting travel packages to meet sales and profit goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core functions include organizing end-to-end travel arrangements, providing relevant information about destinations, promoting travel packages, conducting thorough research on travel trends, understanding client preferences, facilitating bookings and payments, developing innovative travel packages, assisting clients, resolving travel-related issues, maintaining industry relationships, achieving sales targets, and providing adaptive travel support.
Required Qualifications:
2 years of experience as a Travel Assistant or in a similar role, excellent knowledge of travel and tourism trends, strong sales and presentation skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, multitasking, and time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and solid communication skills.
Educational Background:
BA in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or a similar relevant field
Experience:
2 years of experience as a Travel Assistant or similar role
Languages:
Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
Additional Notes:
Monthly milestones include closing sales of N10,000,000.00, converting 20 leads to customers, providing 50 new leads contacts, and undergoing a Supervising Officer Evaluation.
